Love is a constant process of tuning in, connecting, missing and misreading cues, disconnecting, repairing, and finding deeper connection. It is a dance of meeting and parting and finding each other again. Minute to minute and day to day.

EFT COUPLES THERAPY

Alone? Disconnected? Frustrated? Never enough? Tired? Betrayed? IF ANY OF THESE WORDS SEEM TO FIT YOUR FEELINGS ABOUT YOUR MARRIAGE AT THE MOMENT, YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE.

Always, as advocates for thriving relationships, we provide couples with the safety, hope, and direction needed to be able to move to a place of sturdy connection and newfound confidence.  We are warm, relatable, and because of a high level of specialized training and education in couple’s therapy, we have a very clear picture of the ways that couples get stuck in disconnection. We can offer a road map for helping you to make your way out of disconnection and into new patterns of relating and communicating.

At CULTIVATE, we can help you to not only heal your relationship, but also transform it.  Healthy relationships are noticeable and become beautiful models to all those we encounter in our world.  We can offer hope to those who have none. We can help you to provide children with models of functional and loving relationships that they will then be able to pass on to the families they form in the future. This powerful impact will last for generations to come. Together, we can make this world a better, safer place as we first take some time to nourish our own marital relationships.

Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, also known as EFT, a model founded by Dr. Sue Johnson, employs nine steps and three stages to help couples to:

  • Expand and re-organize emotional responses and develop the ability to express these to each other in a safe and non-threatening environment.

  • Initiate new cycles of interaction between couples and teach them ways to stay out of the currently operating cycles that result in disconnection and loneliness

  • Mend deep wounds created in the course of the relationship as well as prior wounds inflicted that appear and have current impact.

  • Foster the creation of a secure bond in the relationship

Research studies find that 70-75% of couples move from distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements.
